Objective:To observe the efficacy and safety of tonify qi and clear heat method in treating hematuria of chronic glomerulonephritis.Methods:66patients who met the inclusion criteria were randomized into treatment group and control group; On the basis of blood pressure、 albuminuria control and strenuous exercise avoid, the treatment group were treated with the method of tonifying the qi and clearing the heat, while the control group were treated with Xiao Ji Yin Zi for eight weeks and for Parallel to the reference observations. We use Urinary sediment RBC count as the major outcome mearsurement. After normal distribution and homogeneity of variance test, all the data were expressed in standard deviation to mean added or subtracted. Measurement data using t test and nonparametric test, counting data using chi-square test; Level data using Rank sum test。Results:After treatment than before treatment in both groups urinary sediment red blood cell count has decreased, but not statistically significant (P>0.05), the total effective rate in the treatment group was65.6%; and the control group was67.6%, the two groups between the efficiencystatistically significant; the TCM syndromes comparison:the total effective rate in the treatment group was81.3%, the control group was67.6%, TCM syndrome score comparison, the two groups in symptom scores decreased compared with before treatment differencesstatistically significant (P<0.05); renal function, liver function, blood, ECG, and other physical and chemical detection indicators before and after treatment no significant abnormal changes, very few in the control group (2/34) in patients with diarrhea appeared, after adjusted dose can be restored to normal. Conclusions:Treatment of hematuria of chronic glomerulonephritis, can improve the clinical symptoms and improve patients’ quality of life; reduce the red blood cells in the urine, and does not cause the patient’s renal function, liver function, blood, ECG and other physical and chemical testingindicators of abnormal changes in the method of replenishing qi and clearing heat.
