Clinical Study Of Chronic Eczema Fufangkushen Itching Ointment (cream) Treatments

Objective:Chronic eczema is a common disease in dermatology, its skin is thick, coarse, moss samples. At the same time, the patients feel huge itching and it attacks repeatedly, which makes the patients suffer a lots of pain. So it is necessary to study an effective clinical treatment which makes the patients feel less pain, and it is the goal who works in dermatology. Through the clinical observation to the patients with chronic eczema after using KuShen Antipruritic compound cream, we record the itching grade, the area and the symptom of the sick skin before and after the treatment, and firm the effectiveness on chronic eczema.Methods:The research objects on this study are all from the patients who see a doctor in Dongzhimen Hospital Beijing University of Chinese Medicine between April2013and March2014. And all of the patients met the diagnostic criteria of chronic eczema.33patients had been on the search, but1patient fell off.32patients with chronic eczema were divided randomly into the test group (16cases)treated with KuShen Antipruritic compound cream and the control group (16cases) treated with placebo cream, and the patients clinical data in general had been recorded in detail. Both groups had been given four one-weeks courses and judged the efficacy, simultaneously carried on securely evaluating. The degree of pruritus, lesion area and lesion characteristics such as erythema, papules, scales, scratches, infiltration, moss samples are included in the observation.Results:1patient who fell off did not enter the data statistics. The clinical observation showed that among the16patients of chronic eczema with Kushen Antipruritic Compound Cream,2patients were cured which was12.5%in the total treatment group,7patients were obvious effective which was43.75%in the total treatment group,6patients were effect ive which was37.5%in the total treatment group,1pat ient was invalid which was6.25%in the total treatment group, the markedly effective rate was56.25%, the total effective rate was93.75%. Among the16patients of chronic eczema with placebo cream,1patient was cured which was6.25%in the total control group,5patients were obvious effective which was31.25%in the control group,5patients were effective which was31.25%in the control group,5patients were inval id which was31.25%in the control group, the markedly effective rate was37.5%, the total effective rate was68.75%. From the chi square test, there was no statistically significance. But from the data comparison, the treatment group was better than the control group. After the treatment of4weeks, there was statistically significance on the improvement of infiltration, thickening, moss samples from t-test, the treatment group was better than the control group. But there was no statistically significance on the improvement of the other cl inical features from t-test. The first reason was that the test sample size was too small. The second reason was that the test time was too short to make the skin lesions and the lesion area of chronic eczema better. The third reason was that both the treatment group and the control group could moisten the skin which can make the chronic eczema better, at the same time, both of them would give the skin a protection from the stimulation of the outside world. At the last, for the detection of adverse reactions, the Kushen Antipruritic Compound Cream was safe for the patients.Conclusion:KuShen Antipruritic compound creams have good efficacy and safety in the treatment of chronic eczema.
