The theory of traditional Chinese medicine got developed on the basis of clinical experiences of the people in ancient times, and it has become the research foundation of scholars of the traditional Chinese medicine at present. However, what was the theoretical basis of clinical experiences of medical scholars in the ancient times? It is widely believed by us that the thinking basis of medical theory of ancient people is the theory of yin-yang and five elements. The theory of yin-yang and five elements is not only the thinking basis of medical scholars in ancient times, but also a kind of body-perception and cognition of the ordinary people in the old times for the natural world. As a result, in the course of studying the traditional Chinese medicine, one must profoundly comprehend the theory of traditional Chinese medicine-theory of yin-yang and five elements (main). In this article, firstly, the method of analogy is used to understand the body-perception of ancient people for the natural world; and to study the way of expression of ancient people via analyzing this body-perception and observation. At present, it is concluded via study that the medical scholars of ancient times mainly had used the expression method of image analogy. Nowadays, the method of image analogy is the metaphor system which is paid very close attention and the metaphor has become the basis and frame of cognition theory. For this reason, to study&review the metaphor linguistics and have an insight into cognition of human body-perception not only provide some help for scholars in studying the theory of traditional Chinese medicine, but also become the compass and lighthouse for proving the scientificity and creativity of the theory of traditional Chinese medicine in the future. Metal is one of the main matters which are widely used in our daily life. Not only in modern times, but also in the development of human society in ancient times, metal is the inseparable matter all the time. In the theory of yin-yang and five elements, the perception for metal from ancient people is fully shown. As a result, this article further carries on the analogy for the conceptual recognition system of "metal of human body" starting with studying the cognition of body-perception of ancient people for "metal of nature" and understanding the conceptual system of "metal of five elements".This thesis is mainly divided into two parts. In the first part, it mainly introduces the relevant contents of metaphorical cognition and the meaning, type and analogical reasoning of conceptual metaphor. The basis of this thesis is the conceptual metaphor and the analogical reasoning is the research tool of this thesis. In the main content of second part, it takes "metal of nature" as the source domain and "metal of human body" as the target domain, and it reveals the similarity between source domain and target domain via the method of analogical reasoning. At last, it discusses the physiological and pathological manifestations of "metal of human body" in traditional Chinese medicine and the method of treatment For the contents discussed in this thesis, it is started with finding the materials of metaphor recognition of "metal of nature" on one hand, and analogizes the "metal of human body" with "metal of nature" on the other hand; and the contents of this thesis are discussed rather comprehensively. However, comparing with the ancient people, the author is lack of the experience of body-perception for "metal of nature"; and the logical analogy done by the author for "metal of human body" and "metal of nature" is not very in place. Hoping the scholars for checking and reviewing this thesis will put forward valuable opinions to the author which enables the author to more profoundly understand the starting point of research for the metaphorical recognition system and the language of traditional Chinese medical theory.
