Objective:To observe the effects of Compound cortex phellodendri liquid on wound area, wound depth, granulation tissue, wound secretion, scope of swollen, skin temperature, pain and whole blood white blood count(WBC), neutrophilic granulocyte percentage (NE%), C react protein (CRP) in patients with diabetic foot ulcers syndrome of Damp-heat Accumulation Type in different time periods, and to evaluate Compound cortex phellodendri liquid intervention effect of diabetic foot ulcers.Methods:In this clinical experimental study,50cases of diabetic foot syndrome of Damp-heat Accumulation Type were grouped in treatment group and control group. The treatment group received the external treatment by Compound cortex phellodendri liquid during the28days of treatment, and control group received the external treatment by kangfuxinye.The area and depth of wound, granulation tissue, wound secretion, scope of swollen, pain, skin temperature and whole blood WBC, NE%, CRP were evaluated each seven days. Compare all above indexes of the two groups on0,7th,14th,21st,28th day respectively.Symptom scores were measured before and after treatment. Digital camera and image analysis software photoshop were used to compute the area of the ulcer. After the end of trail, all the statistic was analyzed by SPSS17.0software.Result:Total effective rate in the treatment group and the control group was respectively83.3%and65.2%(P<0.05).The improvement of the Wound:wound area, wound depth, granulation tissue, wound secretion, scope of swollen, skin temperature and pain in treatment group were better than those in control group (P<0.05). Wound secretion, scope of swollen, skin temperature and pain in treatment group improved significantly within7days post-administration; Wound area,wound depth and granulation tissue in treatment group improved significantly from the7th day post-administration.l.The improvement of wound secretion in treatment group was seen within14days post-administration. And wound secretion improved significantly within7days.2.The improvement of scope of swollen and skin temperature in treatment group was seen within21days post-administration.The optimal time of skin temperature and scope of swollen was respectively within7days and14days.3.The improvement of pain in treatment group was seen within28days post-administration.And the pain improved significantly within14days.4.The improvement of wound area,wound depth and granulation tissue in treatment group was seen at7-28days.And the improvement of wound depth and granulation tissue was especially obvious during7-14days. The improvement of WBC,NE%and CRP:By the7th,14th,21st,28th day after treatment, WBC,NE%and CRP in treatment group was much lower than those in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The improvement of WBC,NE%and CRP in treatment group was seen within28days post-administration.And WBC,NE%and CRP improved significantly within14days.Conclusion:Compound cortex phellodendri liquid shows positive promotion effects on the wound healing process in different links. In the period of infection and necrotic tissue:wound secretion, scope of swollen, skin temperature and pain improve significantly; In the granulation tissue hyperplasia and epithelial formation:wound area,wound depth and granulation tissue improve significantly. Compound cortex phellodendri liquid can effectively reduce wound area,relieve granulation tissue, wound secretion,scope of swollen and pain,reduce skin temperature,shorten wound healing time.
