Xu Yinfang who has numerous works, is an important educator litterateur in the late of Qing Dynasty in Yunnan." Wu Tang Shi Cao" as the poetry anthology which was created by Xu Yinfang, represents the basic style and level of that era Poetry. Xu Yinfang’s poems has been praised by Wang Xianqiam Yuan Jiagu and so on since they were created. However, it is regrettable that the academia is still no any monographs and theses about Xu Yinfang’ poems. Even though Xu Yinfang’ poems were mentioned sometimes in the local literature, just a few word. This is not consistent with the achievements of Xu Yinfang’ poems.ThisThis paper mainly to take the five hundred and forty-seven poems in "Wu Tang Shi Cao" as the object of research. On the basis of predecessor to his life, works evaluation to study the poet and his poetry, combining the local gazetteers, tablet inscription, preface and postscript,brief biography, I will try my best to draw the outline of Xu Yinfang’s life, family, the main experience and social situation so that find out how they influence the poet’s poetry creation.From the content of poems. This paper will divide Xu Yinfang’s poetry into five types:the Roaming poetry, the Imitation poetry of Tao Yuanming, the Realistic poetry, the Eulogistic poetry and the Farewell poetry. Although this approach is debatable, one from each class of the poem can reflect something about Xu Yinfang, such as the Roaming poetry has huge image, includes rich emotions; the Imitation poetry of Tao Yuanming is leisure and comfortable even loving hometown; the Realistic poetry is focus on reality and the fate of personal; the Eulogistic poetry is memorial to thinkers of the past and introspective to reality; the Farewell poetry is deeply love to friends.From the content of the poems, we can make a conlusion that Xu Yinfang’s poems has three remarkable artistic features:the Colour of liking strange; Strong practial; the poetry style of Shen Xiong Cang Liang and Qing Gang Jun Shang.
