Point scene character is a special existence and form that between figure painting and Chinese landscape painting. Although it appears as figure forms, it attaches to Chinese landscape painting. These small figures walk in the mountains and rivers as different roles, fitting on the artistic conception of Chinese landscape painting masterly and perfectly as a whole. The artists arrange these point scene characters in the scenery with mountains and rivers, matching these "figure" with "landscape", and also influence the implied meanings of the point scene characters. It may be the artists’feeling representation, or the substitute of artists in the artistic conception of Chinese landscape painting, or the elements of the life,-or the tools the artists use to enrich the paintings. Artists arrange these point scene characters in their own works, laying emphasis on the union of the life and nature. This article tries to analyze the differences from identity natures of these point scene characters in the past dynasties, and the relationship with the artistic conception of Chinese landscape painting, and then, tries to explore the unique humanistic connotation, knowing its existence and meanings in the Chinese landscape painting.
