Aaron Copland is one of the most important composers in20thcentury in America. His works are so effectiveto the development of American contemporary and modern music. This Concerto was written for BennyGoodman, the hottest jazz clarinet player at that time. The composer mixed various music elements such as jazz,swing into this piece. The classical and modern techniques of composing were used during his creating process. Itis not only challenge on playing skills but also promotion of music connotation express for the players. Throughthe analysis of the structure and musical elements and the experience of practicing, this thesis expounds thedistinguished feature of concerto, the difficulty points of playing and the methods of practicing.
