In the Chinese poetry history, Qu Yuan has always been the favorite of all poets. The poets from every dynasty were inspired by his charming personality and literature achievements. Tang dynasty is the peak of the odes for Qu Yuan. When we look though "The Poetry of Tang Dynasty", we may notice that there are various different kinds of ode for Qu Yuan, which indicates that Qu Yuan is deeply respected by the poets of Tang dynasty. Before the Tang Dynasty, poems eulogizing Qu Yuan mostly focused on Qu Yuan’s literary talent, while less of a concern for the fate of the Tragic,In Tang Dynasty however, poetry singing the praises of Qu Yuan not only payed more attention to admiring the literary talent of Qu Yuan, but also to respecting his loyalty to the emperor and patriotism, noble and persistent personality. At the same time, they attached importance to Qu Yuan in folklore, as well as to shaping of Qu Jia mode and Qu Du mode.Lastly, in order to find out the reasons for the writing of all those odes, besides the analyzation of the special background of Tang dynasty and the characteristics of poets in Tang dynasty, author also emphasized the influences of the culture of Chu in southern part of China.This article combines the analysis of commonness and individuality of the poetry eulogizing Qu Yuan in Tang Dynasty, and the regularity and case study, in order to see people’s unique chant perspective and the mental features, to discover that their interest in Qu Yuan is also on the attention of the society and their own destiny, from which we can not only find out the law of the development of the Tang Dynasty poetry, but also perceive people’s general and individual characteristics of mentality of Tang Dynasty.
