As one of the three major court music institutions in the Tang Dynasty,Liyuan and Jiaofang are both popular music performance institutions.Its formation and development were closely related to the political environment of the Tang Dynasty and also closely related to the preferences of the emperors.Liyuan not only witnessed the whole process of the Tang Dynasty’s transition from prosperity to decline,but also the epitome of the Tang Dynasty’s rise and decline.During the decades of existence of Liyuan,it not only greatly promoted the development of court music in the Tang Dynasty,but also reflected the inclusive spirit of mutual appreciation of elegance and common sense and harmony between Hu and Han.This article takes Liyuan as the research object,and aims to explore the social and cultural backgrounds on which it grows,as well as the personnel training and performance forms of educational institutions related to it.This thesis is divided into four parts to discuss: the first part,through the sorting of literature data,sorts out the historical evolution and context of the pear orchard,and analyzes the current academic problems related to the pear orchard site;the second part,analyzes the structure and function of the pear orchard institution Research,explore its contribution to the development of music in the Tang Dynasty and its historical value,and then specifically analyze the entertainment and educational functions of Liyuan,the setting of music officials and musicians in Liyuan,etc.;The third part is to sort out the verifiable repertoire of Liyuan,Selecting representative repertoires of Liyuan performance for case analysis,and analyzing and summarizing its musical morphological characteristics.The fourth part is to verify the changes of Liyuan after the "Anshi Rebellion" and its influence on then and future generations.
