The process of western art history, are closely linked with the change of social status of "people engaged in the visual arts", while the history of art, also is the portrayal of the "artist" constantly self-shaping and self-improvement.In the history of Western art, there is a long period of time, when people are faced with some very beautiful works of art, they praise often just the skill and charm of the work itself, they were not able nor desire for aesthetic intrinsic quality of the excavation works and their thinking、philosophy、wisdom connotation. For its creators, it is often even their names are unknown. These "people engaged in the visual arts" is deemed crafts people or the abject artisans, whatever they have no social status. The so-called "artists" are just relies entirely on manual labor and in accordance with the employer is required to complete the work as "painter ", has been in a very low under the class work to do with slavery.Since the Renaissance, art has become an intellectual world of human knowledge, it is everywhere in people’s lives, to become an indispensable part of people’s lives, meanwhile they also feel very proud of these artists. These people engaged in the visual arts, especially the masters like Leonardo Da Finch and some other masters, they seeks to train themselves as generalists, to explore the range of all-inclusive, nothing less research interest. It is through such efforts, the visual arts eventually was elevated to equal status with some other human intellectual forms—such as poetry, music and so on. In this struggle, they attached particular importance to the scientific aspects of the art which we are now talking about, such as the perspective of law, human anatomy, color and light and shadow principle. While the artist will soon begin writing theory books and biographies, also is a show about the improving of the social status of the artist, the artist’s biography and story are now widespread, so that more people know the artist.Articles critical question is how to describe and grasp the point of view of the cognitive world of the Renaissance artists have built a unique social environment, the artist self-shaping the visual arts, and visual arts for the special significance of the Renaissance.
