Research On Chinese Ancient Literature Ogawa Ring Tree

Ogawa Tamaki (1910-1993),who was from Kyoto, Japan, is a notable scholar of the third generation of Kyoto School of Japanese Sinology. He devoted all his life to Sinology and has made an immense contribution to the study of Literature and Linguistics. This thesis is to provide a broad survey of Ogawa Tamaki’study on Chinese Classic Literature systematically by direct analysis of his original works. After the rough summary of his life and writing, this thesis consists of three chapters of the study of Tang poetry, Song poetry and classic novels, which introduces Ogawa Tamaki’s views on each area and then evaluates the achievement of his study.
