Various aspects of China’ s culture have always been of particular interest in different parts of the world.Moreover,once China followed the path of communism and started sharing ideological principles with the Soviet Union,the country’s culture and literature,in particular,began to be studied by Soviet sinologists.Since it was mainly modern literature that represented the newly formed ideological views of China,it became the main priority of Soviet sinologists,who started to study representative works of China’s literary society.Being one of the key representatives of Chinese modern literature,Lu Xun remained as a prominent figure of Chinese culture.The author’ s creativity has been studied from different points of view.In this regard,it is necessary to carry out a study that would reveal not only the historical progress of studies of Lu Xun’s creativity in Russia but also main sinologists and works that studied Lu Xun’s works along with the main topics and trends that have been analyzed throughout the process.Therefore,the following thesis is to study the topic of studies of Lu Xun in Russia.The structure of the work is determined by the goals and objectives of this study.The thesis consists of an introduction,four chapters combining 10 paragraphs,a conclusion and a list of used literature.The volume of the work is 63 pages,the list of references includes 62 sources.The introduction to the thesis substantiates the relevance of the topic of the research,the degree of its development,the goal,tasks,and methods of research.The scientific novelty of the Master’s thesis is that the topic of modern Chinese literature’s research in Russia is a relatively new trend in the modern field of sinology,which hasn’t been properly studied by current Russian researchers.In the first chapter,"The Studies of Lu Xun in the Soviet Union",an analysis is given to the formation and transformation of studies of modern Chinese literature in the Soviet Union,with studies of Lu Xun’s creativity being the main focus of the analysis.In the chapter,different stages of studies were studied,and reasons for the shift of studies in the second half of the XX century were given.Moreover,an analysis of the main works of Soviet sinologists was carried out.The second chapter,"The Studies of Lu Xun in Contemporary Russia",analyses the differences in approaches of Russian scientists and sinologists towards studying Lu Xun’s creativity,especially due to change of ideologies in the countries,which led to a deeper level of studies of artistic features of Lu Xun in modern Russia.Moreover,the main directions of studies and major trends of studies of Lu Xun’s creativity in Russia were observed.The third chapter,"On Connecting Features between Lu Xun’s works and Russian Literature",focuses on the main direction of studies that have been carried out in Russia starting from its Soviet period and up to its contemporary state.The chapter gives analyses to works of Russian sinologists that compared Lu Xun with main figures of Russian classic literature,including Gorky,Gogol,Dostoevsky,Chekhov,etc.Aside from that,the chapter showcases the level of publications of Lu Xun’s works in contemporary Russia,thus giving a general picture of the level of interest of Russian readers in Lu Xun’s creativity.The final chapter,"Similarities between Lu Xun and Russian Authors through the Comparative Analysis of Special Features of Chekhov’s Works and Lu Xun’s Prose",gives a more specific approach towards showcasing connecting points between the creativity of Lu Xun and Russian classics by comparing special features of Lu Xun’s creativity with main characteristics of Anton Chekhov’s prose,similarity with whom has been pointed out by many Russian scholars.The main goal of the chapter is to prove the similarity between the writers’ works,which has been studied by a number of Soviet and Russian researchers,through the concrete examples.In conclusion,the results of the thesis work are summed up.To summarize,the following thesis portrays the constant change of the state of studies of Lu Xun in different periods of Russia’ s history and points out the main topics and trends of those studies.The work can contribute to the relatively new field of studying historical changes that have been occurring to the studies of modern Chinese literature in Russia,and the studies of Lu Xun’s creativity in particular. |
