Based on the ancient Tibetan grammatical treatises, the Sumcupa and the Rtags’jugpa, and surveys into Yushu dilalect, the paper probed into three tenses and one mood of verbs and evolution of function words in Yushu Tibetan dialect, and explained its inner evolution processes and rules.Introduction gave brief accounts of history, geographical position, and present states of Yushu Prefecture.The first chapter analyzed the phonetic features of30consonants in the3Tibetan main dialects and their corresponding pronunciations in Yushu dialect. It also elaborated on the special evolutionary processes of consonant Ka in Yushu dialect.The second chapter described the unique geographical environments, living conditions and cultural customs of Yushu Prefecture and tried to find their connections with the forms, changing rules and differences of function words in Yushu Dialect.The third chapter, from the angle of consistent change of languages, explained and analyzed the simplification and combination of verbs in Yushu dialect.
