Explore Prehistoric Instruments

Based on other scholars’ research, this paper used the research methods ofmusic science, archaeology, history etc to research Musical instruments unearthedprehistoric and literature data.Prehistoric musical instruments are divided into two groups.Unearthed prehistoricmusical instruments are mainly analyzes it’s shape, pitch, distribution etc.Conclusionsare as follows: bugle, Xun(an ancient egg-shaped, holed wind instrument),flute, chimestone, Xiang qi(rattle are prehistoric musical instruments)are the prehistoryinstruments.Drums,Zhong,Ling,Shao can make a sound. Drums,Zhong,Ling are maybe prehistory Musical Instruments. Shao is not prehistory Musical Instruments.Historical records musical instruments Mainly include a Qin(seven-stringed pluckedinstrument),Se(a twenty-five-stringed plucked instrument),fungus,Xiao(a verticalbamboo flute), Guan(wind musical instrument)and Chi(an ancient musical pipe).Through discussing judgment that they have the possibility to present in theprehistoric period.This study not only good for comprehensive and in-depth understanding thePrehistoric musical instruments,but also good for understanding and writtingprehistoric history of music.
