In Tibet, "business" Activity In Modern Britain

Recalling the Tibet nearly a century of history,Tibetan people had experienced upsand downs.Internal and external problems became increasingly serious after the OpiumWar in Qing Dynasty,the Central Government of Qing Dynasty lacked effectivemanagement and support to the border,meantime the imperialism had been establishingcolonies and plundering raw materials in the world,the Tibet which was difficult for theWest to touch had become their competitive prey.the Tibet was located in the southwestof China,to the north of India,to the south of Sinkiang,to the west of the mainland,to theeast of the Central Asia,the strategic position was apparent,the British attempted tomake the Tibet as the central strategic buffer zone against Russia.The early westernerswho pried the Tibet were all titled of missionaries,explorers,scientific expeditionteams,some people aimed at preach religions,the others aimed for scientificinvestigation,but all these activities had objectively provided the latter colonists forHuman geography informations and specific references of Tibet.The British were the initiators of invasion of Tibet,the East India Companyspecially dispatched Bogle and Turner to investigate the properties,transportation andtrade business data of Tibet.The demand they sought to have trade relations with Tibetwas rejected one by one, the British exposed their true colors at last,then take drasticforce to invade Tibet,launched two aggressive war successively in Tibet,and forcedTibet to sign unequal treaties finally.The British forcibly established “business”agenciesin Ya Dong and other places of Tibet,crazily plundered our resources in Tibet on theground of “business”,and engaged in the activities of political,economic,culturalaggression.The British forces declined after the Second World War,they could only takethe division,interference and other activities in Tibet,the British invaders graduallywithdrew the stage of history in Tibet until the founding of the People’s Republic ofChina.The research results appeared a lot on the history of the relationship betweenEngland and Tibet and the history of the British invaded Tibet,but the research on the“business” activities of Britain agencies in Tibet was almost empty in this fields.thisarticle adopted the methods of literature research,comparative analysisresearch,descriptive research,specialized in the British “commercial” activities andinfluences in Tibet in modern times.According to the British spies of Tibet on the ground of “business”in early times, and “business” agencies established after two unequal treaties signed as the startingpoint.This article mainly analyses British political,economic,cultural aggression of Tibetand the effects of aggression on the ground of “business”,reveals the essence of Britishimperialism aggression of Tibet in modern times,and demonstrates the difficult historyof the Tibetan people against aggression.
