Tiao Xi is also known as Tiao Ju, mainly spread in Heyang County, Shaanxi Province.Currently, it only can also play by Xingjiazhuang Village. Tiao Xi is a ancient drama which by chant and dance moves interpretation of the plot, it plays more history war performance, included a large number of programmed martial arts routines.It is known as the "living fossil" of Chinese Opera, has high research value.Tiao Xi is as the research object in this thesis, concentrate on the living environment, the background of folk activities, performing procedures, the art form and living situation to do a comprehensive analysis, which on the basis of a large number of field research and literature review. The thesis is divided into four chapters.The first chapter describes the living environment of the Tiao Xi, mainly on the Tiao Xi’s survive natural geographical environment and culture ecological environment, and presented the concept of " Tiao Xi cultural area ". Local culture ecological environment is described from five angle which is History, Agriculture, Forestry and cross-trade, dialect, religion, living customs one by one.The second chapter is the general information of Tiao Xi. By combing the existing literature, analyzed the historical origin of Tiao Xi; followed by the first-hand information obtained through field research, author analyzed the Tiao Xi’s folk activities, personnel, funding, and folk activities program; Finally, the repertoire type of Tiao Xi.It described the art forms of Tiao Xi from the visual language and auditory language the third chapter. Two analytical point of makeup clothing and performing actions in the visual language of form; auditory language forms were analyzed for the Tiao Xi Tune and accompaniment art form.
