Meme theory was viewed as a new theory. It explained that the new law of cultural evolution has strong explanatory power in language phenomenon. In this paper, the author tried to use mimetic theory to discuss network popular language. There are different aspects between network popular language and the network language, because it is a part of the network language. It has the characteristics of periodic, high-frequency, unconventional and original lead to reflect social life.In this paper, we mainly study the network buzzwords from2008to2012. We define the meaning of network popular language though collating,analyzing,comparing. This article was based on annual network buzz words classified from2008to2012and introduced Richard Dawkins meme theory. In this paper, we mainly discussed that both the motivation and processing transmission of the cyber language. And analyze mode of transmission of network popular language. It is used by the view of linguistics to analyze the influence of the network popular language.At last, this paper deals with a large number of examples in order to objectively and accurate conclusions.
