After the1960s and1979s, western culture has lived through the devour of popculture,“social sculpture” represented by conceptual artist Powis, and Italian“political poetics”--and now is trapped in a chaotic situation restricted by arte povera. But in the last ten years, a significant evolution appeared--Sensation Show of YBA(Young British Artist), they started to introspect the post-modern art in terms of itsidealization and politicization. In the show,“body and sensibility” had been praised toan unprecedented height, and people’s sense of touch, smell, hear and taste were allaroused. A kind of “on-site sensibility experience” seemed to have reconstructed art.Post-modern sculpture is defined as a comprehensive art form. To shape anintangible objective space, means to present an objective space to people that theycannot see but can easily feel, through all sorts of artistic languages. This creationmethod has been distinctly shown in temporary art, and the works emphasize onaudience’s physical body, sensibility and presence; as well as artist’s objectivity, naturalness and language-multiplicity towards materials. The art creation method ismore like to look for new artistic subjectivity, to respect the boredom, disorder, carelessness and ineffectiveness of post-modern art. The article analyzes anddiscusses the common characters of five intangible objective existences that areideology, physical space, time, space and body, numerical maths and natural physicalphenomenon, and further seek their origin, value and problem. It can be divided intodifferent parts:First part: a brief introduction and analysis on the range of art works and artistcreation in regard to “shape an intangible objective space”.Second part: take examples to analyze on art works, and seek “formed commoncharacters” of intangible objective spaces.Third part: by comparison and analysis on “natural objectivity” and “sensibilityspace”, explore the “common” artistic origin generated by this creation method and itsinfluences by philosophy, sociology and science.Fourth part: with the range of noumenon of art, discuss the meaning and problems ofthis creation method.
