In ancient Chinese society, the relationship between families and society, between families and country was closely linked. The Spring and Autumn period and the Warring States period was a turning point in ancient society. It occupied an important position in ancient Chinese history. It was a period when Chinese family system and family pattern were created. It showed up in the gradual loosing of the clan organizations and individual family independence and independent development of the economy. The individual family gradually becomes the most basic organization unit of the society. The internal relation of families changed greatly. So presenting and probing into the family relationship in the Spring and Autumn period and the Warring States period enable us fully recognize the establishment of the Chinese traditional individual family.Based on the relevant historical data and the evolution of family patterns in the Spring and Autumn period and the Warring States period, the paper will mainly discuss the relation of wife and husband, parents and children, and the relationship of brothers between ethics and reality. The first part will discuss and analyze the morphology of families in the Spring and Autumn period and the Warring States as well as the causes of the formation of family form. The second part will state the marriage bonds in four aspects, the family status, marriage relation, family responsibilities, and the conflict of family life. The third part will mainly talk about the relation between parents and children. Parents take the responsibility of raising children and children should obey and support their parents. But it also exists conflict between parents and children. The fourth part will discuss the responsibility and conflict between brothers and sisters.
