Since Islam was introduced into China in the Tang dynasty, the modelling of islamic art affected Chinese porcelains, the effect reached unprecedented level at Yuan and Ming dynasty, especially at the Ming dynasty zhengde period, jingdezhen porcelain who represented imperial porcelain used a lot of Arabic and Persian words and other Islamic looking as decoration.Arabic and Persian word is the Hui people’s native word who have the Islam faith, writing these words on porcelains means some special cultural traditions and religious feelings. Zhengde period’s porcelain with Arabic and Persian words is the best example of combining between Islamic culture and Han culture, it’s inseparable from the spread of Islam culture in China. This article will focus on these Arabic and Persian words porcelains produced by Jingdezhen imperial factory, research and discuss them from the following parts:First of all, at the perspective of history, we’ll explore the historical background of this type of porcelain, and focus on the Islamic development overview at the Ming Dynasty Zhengde period.Secondly, at the perspective of art characteristic of Arabic and Persian words porcelain, analyze its modeling and decoration. Porcelain with Arabic and Persian words in Ming Zhengde can be divided into living supplies, display products, calligraphy supplies such as different kinds of shape make detailed and in-depth analysis of the reading as much as possible. From the two aspects of decorative style and decorative content has been further explained, and it pointed out that text plants and geometric lines are the most important decoration component. In addition this paper also analysis the Arabic and Persian porcelain in manifestation.Finally, focus on the service target and related issues of Zhengde Arabic and Persian words porcelain, this paper, which argument that Arabic and Persian royal porcelain mainly for Ming wuzong Islam himself and his officers. Zhengde period of Arabic and Persian porcelain had played an important role in Ming wuzong and upper echelons of Islam’s material and spiritual life. The appearance of this kind porcelain is directly related to their belief in Islam, and it not only can confirmed the written records, but also make up for its deficiency, which provide more abundant and vivid examples for Islam’s spread of the Ming dynasty Zhengde period.The research for Zhengde period’s porcelains with Arabic and Persian words, not only help us to understand this art characteristics, but also help us to know the communication between Chinese and Islamic culture deeply. Therefore, The study for Zhengde period’s porcelains with Arabic and Persian words has important theoretical and practical significance.In this paper, to a certain extent, to expand the research for this part, it help us to know the Zhengde period’s porcelains with Arabic and Persian words deeply.
