Zhengde Dynasty was an important transitional period from the middle to the late Ming Dynasty in the Ming Dynasty.In terms of ceramics,the Zhengde dynasty was a very special stage.During this period,Arabic and Persian were widely used for decoration in official kiln porcelain.These official kiln porcelains with Arabic and Persian decorations were not Like other periods,it was more used in the palace.Therefore,it is very significance to study the official kiln porcelain with Arabic and Persian decoration during the Zhengde period.The paper counts and sorts out the official kiln porcelain with Arabic and Persian decoration during the Zhengde period at home and abroad,including the handed down collected in major museums,art galleries and mosques at home and overseas and the unearthed items excavated in Jingdezhen.According to statistics,there are a total of 94 pieces of official kiln porcelain with Arabic and Persian decoration in the Zhengde period at home and overseas.There are currently45 pieces in the collections of major museums and mosques in China,including 36 blue and white porcelains,7 red from iron-oxide porcelains,1 doucai porcelain,1 sacrifice-ware colors porcelain;49 pieces are collected overseas,including 44 pieces of blue and white porcelain,2 pieces of red from iron-oxide porcelains,and 2 pieces of doucai porcelain.In addition,the paper also discusses the role of Arabic and Persian decoration on Zhengde official kiln porcelain and its writers.It is believed that Arabic and Persian have two main functions,one is to express content,and the other is to have a certain decorative nature.The writer may be a descendant of the Hui who knows a little about Arabic and Persian.As decorations that appeared on official kiln porcelain,the appearance of Arabic and Persian was inseparable from the emperor.The attitudes of successive emperors to Islam,the internal staff of the Baofang during the Zhengde period,the eunuchs in the palace during the Zhengde period,the Huihui officials,the travel routes of the Ming Wuzong and the tributary trade with the Western Regions,etc.may have made Ming Wuzong interested in Islam,and thus he ordered to produce the official kiln porcelain with Arabic and Persian decorations.Finally,the paper discusses the religious belief of Ming Wuzong.Analysing related literature,porcelain,bronze and other materials,Ming Wuzong is not a religious believer,but only has great interest in various religions.
