This essay is focused on the research of the slow wheel pottery processof Xishuangbanna Dai nationality. Through the investigation and analysis，it shows that how the slow wheel ceramics influences the potterymanufacture techniques and how it develops in Dai nationality. Thus， thisessay will demonstrate a deep understanding of the traditional cultureand national psychology of Dai.The three research fields of this essay are Mandou， Mange， Manfeilonglocated in Jinghong city. In order to analyze the influence of ceramicstechnique on the survival of whole ceramics industry， the developmentin present situation， the problems they are facing， and the root thatcaused all of this Dai nationality， the essay will use the principle ofanthropological theory and method， and combine with the results of thefield research based on the previous studies.The introduction mainly explains the reason and purpose of choosing thistopic， and shows the present status while combing the related data. Thefirst chapter summarizes the slow wheel pottery manufacture techniques，introduces the technological process，product series and the value of thetechnology. Then，there is an explanation for the current status，difficulties and causes of slow wheel pottery manufacture techniques.Lastly，the third chapter lists my thinking of this technique， andprovides individual complementary suggestions. For the conclusion， itpromotes that people should inherit national culture voluntarily anddevelop the ethnic culture of Dai nationality.
