Dazhao Li was a great Chinese revolutionary and ideologist. He was the first person to spread Marxism in China, and was a representative of early Chinese Marxist. His ideas, related to politics, legislation, society, revolution, ethic and other aspects, were substantial and far-reaching. This thesis focuses on the study of Li’s ethics.In the mid-19th century, China became a semi-colonial and semi-feudal society. Chinese people were forced to face with both domestic strife and foreign aggression. Li’s ethics mind formed in such background. In that era, Chinese intellectuals were thinking about how to save the embarrassment of China. Li was one of them. He first attended Tianjin Northern Law and Politics Specialized School, and then went to Japan for further education, seeking salvation for China. He joined the New Culture Movement actively, and with his articles, influenced generations of Chinese youth. He utilizes Evolutionism to criticize the old Confucian ethics. He absorbed and referred to the ethics of Western individualism, held the banner of democracy and science, and put forward the ethics of human liberty and gender equality. He called on the majority of young people to create a youthful China with every endeavor. And then, he drew on and developed Marxism, and proposed the transformation ethics of "material and moral on sides, body and soul in line", and "labor sacred" doctrine.Dazhao Li’s ethics was align with the trend of history, and propelled the development of the era, having a vivid mark of the times. His ethics evolved with the dramatic change of Chinese modern times and the self-salvation of Chinese people, and thus, had a unswerving characteristics of revolution. The ethic development process itself was a speculation with strong criticism, which criticized during absorption.Li’s ethics is with extremely rich ideological content, sparkling as the shining Venus before dawn, guiding the direction of proletarian revolution. His ethics takes a prominent position in modern history, and still leads a strong guiding role in current times. Today’s Chinese national power has strengthened significantly, and people’s living standards have greatly improved. However, the social morality has been constantly declining. This thesis aims to, through the study on Li’s ethics, shed some inspiration on building the socialist core value and the "China Dream" achievement.
