The reason why the author selects abstracts of the dual core journal “Degree andthe Postgraduate Education” to translate is that the translation of its Chinese abstracts isthe most direct and effective way for the journal to enable communication withinternational academics. The paper uses the theory and methods of genre analysis andthe corresponding translation strategies to solve problems of vocabulary and the genreof the abstracts. The paper also uses the methods of parallel text and genre analysis tosolve title translation, keywords translation, and the translation of every move.
