Rousseau’s Ideas of social ethics is an important part of the European Enlightenmentethics. His social ethical thought about people and society. People are people in society,while also constituted by the people of the community, so thinking of Rousseau’s socialethics of human society is a dialectical relationship between unity. Rousseau beforeassuming the existence of human civilization into a natural state, people under the naturalstate does not have the concept of good and evil. However, after entering into the humancivilization will produce social and moral, it can be said is a product of social morality.Individuals have a natural emotion, after entering a civilized society and more naturalsocial identity "citizens". Citizens are not naturally develop, but through training andeducation was only portrayed as. Under the original natural state of mankind has atendency to pity and self-love, these wonderful original character becomes increasinglyscarce in civilized societies. Due to the emergence and development of civil society inprivate ownership, changes in values and scientific and cultural development. Rousseaudoes not want to return to this exists in the imagination of the "golden age", but he hopesto make in a civilized society in which citizens retained or is better to keep some of theoriginal character of the human. Mental and moral development of society is inverselyproportional to its being in the process of social civilization,the higher the degree ofsocial and moral development of civilization has deteriorated. This paper discusses theethical thought of Rousseau’s social concern for the human and social, that for somepractical problems in a civilized society how citizens and civil existence and developmentin society continue to research. At the same time, in the process of civic and moraleducation thought Rousseau study analysis, I hope to find some experience andinspiration for our civic and moral education practice.
