As an important main body in global governance, NGOs have made more and moresignificant contributions to the international world, especially to global health governance:making good use of their advantages, NGOs plays important role not only in prevention andtreatment of infectious and chronic diseases, but also in assistance of medical research andtalents education; moreover NGOs also contribute a lot to the improvement of public healthfacilities and promotion of drinking water. Of those NGOs, many have reached great successand owned great reputation.Bill&Melinda Gates Foundation is a very successful example. In the20years, it isdedicated in global health governance of a wide field, specifically in protections of infectiousdiseases like Aids, malaria, polio and supports for medical scientific research. Now, it hasmade important contributions and good success.Although NGOs have played important roles in global health governance and have madesignificant functions, they are still facing some dilemmas. As well as other NGOs,Bill&Melinda Gates Foundation also confront similar conditions. In spite that Foundationgives annual report of both achievements and problems, and it has overcome someshortcomings of NGOs, but it still remains dilemma waiting improvement.
