Based on previous studyconclusions and history, the author began with the historical summary of the U.S.policy towards the Philippines at the first chapter, made a comprehensive analysis ofthe objectives and direction of Americarespectively at the second and the third chapterand posed coping strategy of China as epilogue. After analysis, we could contend that, supporting the Philippines or not, America has tightly seized the current strategicopportunities and gained a foothold in its returning to the Southeast Asia. On the onehand, America will actively utilize this issue to deepen its strategy on the SoutheastAsia and the Asia-Pacific. On the other hand, the Philippines will become asignificant element on the tendency of the South China Sea issue in the foreseeablefuture.Disputes on South China Sea are involved in China’s territorial integrity andsovereignty and pose serious threats and challenges to the marine safety of China.
