In the process of globalization, emerging economies, in particular the BRICs,seized the opportunities of globalization, and achieved the rapid growth of economyand the improvement of comprehensive strength. Currently, the rise of emergingeconomies has become the focus of the world’s attention, which also has causedunease among western countries. I deconstructed the international order into threedimensions (international norms, international institutions and the distribution ofinternational power) to analyze the rise of emerging economies. The success ofemerging economies depends on the acceptance of international norms (free trade,market-oriented economy, human rights protection, and environmental protection). And international institutions provide the growing room for emerging economies andthe dispute settlement mechanism for potential conflicts. The rise of emergingeconomies has challenged the leading role of western countries and undermined theinfluence of the west on some regional affairs, but still cannot shake the dominance ofthe US.The in-depth analysis of the peaceful change process of international order suggeststhat the challenge from emerging economies that is facing the US today, is exactly thesuccess of its design of the post-war “liberal international order”. Although thefictions are unavoidable, the formation of an inclusive world culture makes thechange process beyond simple westernization and the rise of emerging economiesdefinitely peaceful.
