This paper first clarifies the course of formation of Marxist ethical views on thebasis of classical texts of Marx and Engels, and therefrom induces three dimensions ofMarxist ethical views, namely, dimension of science, dimension of revolution, anddimension of moral emotions. Then remarks are made on Marxist interpretation ofethical topics which is conducted from the empirical perspective, stressing itssignificance in correcting dogmatic understanding of ethical issues and disclosingsocial evils.What is addressed subsequently with major energy is the ethical elementsconcealed in the empirical and revolutionary specialties of Marxist ethical views, interms of reasoning of validity of revolution, exposition of productive forces, anddemonstration of capitalist private ownership, in particular. The conclusion is thatthese ethical elements play a pivotal and even a fundamental role in reasoning allrespects of Marxism.Finally, based on comparison of Marxist ethical views and other major schools ofethics, inquiry into relationships between virtue and happiness and between rationalityand belief is made, especially with an expectation to resolve conflicts betweenMarxist ethical views and Kantian ethics.
