The research scope of security is expanding nowadays, which could be divided into People security, Society security, Group security and State security according to different research subjects. As an ideal and a practical state model, Nation-state was first put forward in modern Europe and then quickly spread all around the world, and now is the basic political unit and main performer of current international mechanism. However, Marx put forward the theory that State is the power that relieves the contradiction between classes, and it should diminish after the contradiction settled. And quite a lot of scholars thought that with the rejuvenation of civil society, the era of Post-statism would be coming in the post-industrial society. From the perspective of theory, the Post-statism could explain itself. However, the research fact of state security is that the security value of modern national state based on realism still prevails, and it remains the main goal of state security research that people should protect the sovereign and territory integrity of state, maintain the economic links to other regions/states based on rational conditions, prevent system&order from being disturbed, and control the boundary. No matter how the conversion of title and scope regarding security research from traditional security to non-traditional security is like, the basic target thereof still remains the protection of state, society, group and individual from internal and external threaten. The transfer of security research from tradition to non-traditional definitely makes sense to some extent, and there’s penetrating background behind the change. Before2nd World War, due to the deep-rooted ideology, theme of state security research equaled to military security, which means that the security subject is state. While after the2nd World War, the emerging of non-military threatens brought diversity to the security research subject, during which society, group, specific class, and even individual were gradually included into the category. From the perspective of non-traditional security, this paper interprets the security significance of Korean nationality society on the border around Northeast China and North Korea, which is meeting the demand of realism. At the current time, security research of Northeast border, especially China-North Korea area, is mainly focused the hot topic of international relationship-North Korean nuclear issues, which is quite similar to the military and force factor of traditional security theory. Even though the economic influence of North Korea nuclear issue was also discussed, the study is shallow and superficial. Based on realism and practices, this paper is committed to presenting a tridimensional scenario of China-North Korea area from such aspects as population, social change, religion issue, and cultural factor from a real non-traditional perspective. The basic logic of this paper is to discuss on the theoretical model of realism, culturism, and structuralism, use the Korean nationality living on the border as analysis subject, explain from such aspects as population and social change, group recognition and nationalist sentiment, Christianity belief of Korean nationality, and threaten the Northeast China is confronted when setting up the cultural structure, and present a non-traditional security scenario from the perspective of social change and cultural security establishment. The basic theory of this paper is that four non-traditional factors are threatening the security, whether potential or practical, of Northeast border.Firstly, the external migration (including grassroot class and talent) of Korean nationality community, driven by market economy or "Korean factor", is causing the issues of population security, empty nest and dual urban structure. Northeast border region is threatened by the fate of being further bordered.Secondly, the unique history and reality of Korean nationality has made the group factor an ambiguous and key role in the regional security research. Thanks to the realism, we cannot take the non-military threaten aroused by North Korea issues for granted even North Korea is a nationality state. And the potential risk is that the state recognition and group recognition could probably impact the recognition from group to the state, and even deconstruct the existed stable relationship between goups.Thirdly, due to the historical religion factors, the regression of Christianity in Korean nationality community, especially in rural areas, is at an amazingly rapid pace. The key point is that the rampant expansion of Christianity would deconstruct the national rationality and cause the failure of disenchantment. What’s the worse, the religion expansion there is also permeated by foreign powers.Fourthly, Northeastern countries, especially Japan, South Korea and North Korea, are all trying to establish the cultural sovereignty and cultural legitimacy, by which they are seeking the sovereignty voice of disputed regions.Due to the relatively macro research topic, this paper could only do "to be" analysis of existed non-traditional security issues on China-North Korea border, and how to handle "ought to be" is actually beyond the capability of this paper.
