Since the end of the Cold War, Along with the rapid development of globalization and internationalization, the importance of the United Nations and other international organizations increasingly prominent. A country governed the affairs of their own internal ethnic conflict often been affected and restricted by international organizations in varying degrees. The intervention of the international organizations has become a hot topic of academic research.In2003, a violent ethnic conflict outbreak in Sudan’s Darfur region, the conflict brought a large-scale humanitarian crisis. The Darfur issue has caused widespread concern of the international community. United Nations intervene with this issue in a variety of ways. In this paper, the Darfur issue and the intervention of the United Nations as research subjects been empirical studied on the basis of large amounts of data.In the first chapter, the writer discusses the various theories of United Nations interfere with a country’s internal ethnic conflict from a macro perspective, studies the reasons and the mechanism of intervention, to provide the necessary theoretical basis for this article.In the second chapter, the writer reviews the process of the Darfur issue, summarizes the various manifestations of the Darfur humanitarian crisis, and analyzes the causes of the Darfur issue. In the third chapter and the fourth chapter, the writer discusses the process and methods of the United Nations to interfere with the Darfur issue, tracks the intervention change, and studies the reason for the change.In the last chapter, the writer concludes the reasons of the United Nations to interfere with the Darfur issue, and discussion the legitimacy of the intervention of the United Nations.The writer tries to help answer the following questions:Which methods may be used by the United Nations to interfere with a country’s internal ethnic conflicts; what factors will make the intervention of the United Nations change; whether the United Nations interfering with a country’s internal ethnic conflicts is legal or not.
