A Study Of Chinese Consummers Association’ Function From The Legal Perspective

China’s economic restructuring, entry into WTO and social progress, are the driving forcesbehind Consumer Association to highlight the legal function. The re-positioning of legal functionabout Consumer Association is long overdue. The research method with experience setting,materials complement and data validation breaks the traditional analytical framework, and provesthat the Consumer Association should serve as the information channel for consumers, enterprisesand governments, at the same time help the consumers to safeguard their rights. With thesepurposes, this thesis uses the legal function of the Consumer Association as the research object,first analyzes theoretically the necessity of the Consumer Association and the design in accordancewith its legal functions to research its present situation. Through the analytical comparison with thedeveloped country Consumer Associations, it indicates the law function miss of the reality of ourcountry’s Consumer Association to which I propose the improvement and the revision. And fromthat view, I show the subject status of the middle-class of the economic restructuring of ConsumerAssociation and its prospects of the future.
