Since the advent of Rawls’s masterpiece-A Theory of Justice, Rawlsian idea becamethe mainstream thinking in the political academical area. And related research documentsare already enormous. This paper critically interprets this theory from the view point ofFeminism. First, it inquires into Rawls’s double positions on the problem of the Familyand Justice: on the one hand, he assumed that the family was within justice; on the otherhand, he ruled out the family from the field of justice when he applied the tow principlesof justice. Secondly, this thesis discussed Susan Okin’s analysis of Rawls’s doublepositions in detail. Okin agreed that Rawls took the family as a just social system, andshe argued against Sandel’s critique of Rawls’s theory. At the same time she believed thatthe principles of justice could and should be applied to the family directly. This isdifferent from Rawls’s view. Then, Okin analysed the reasons of Rawls’s doublepositions and revised his theory. Finally, we described Susan Okin’s ideal just societywithout gender and showed certain basic ways and methods to achieve this just society.
