As always, sudden major disasters which affect people’s normal life seriously havenever fade over the stage of human history, People’s lives and property often becomefragile because of the occurrence of sudden disasters. Researchers concerned about howpeople struggle with unexpected disasters, meanwhile, they found that the main affectedpopulations have psychological changes after experiencing major emergencies. Thesudden events will bring a series of psychological changes to people: the risk sense of theaffected population up rush in a short time. In order to solve this problem, many chineseand foreign scholars have conducted a study but have not formed a systematic theoryespecially about the issues of the main affected populations’ time perception changes andpreference reversal in intertemporal decision. These problems need future study.Firstly, the article explored the main affected populations’ time perception changesand factors after major emergencies based on the analysis of domestic and foreignresearches. We proposed the point that the body’s time perception will change after themajor emergencies, and we distinguish and express the objective and subjective time.Secondly, the study concerned the main affected populations’ time perception andrisk perception; formulated the waiting time and intertemporal risk theory in intertemporaldecision systematically. We drew the conclusion that the waiting time and risk probabilityin intertemporal decision can be mutually converted.Thirdly, we use the deduced conversion relationship between waiting time and risk tosolve the intertemporal decision problem and come to a conclusion that the subjective timewill affect the body’s preference reversal in intertemporal decision after sudden events. Finally, the article designed the questionnaire and research methods according to theresearch content. We collected137questionnaires in Wenchuan, Beichuan andQinhuangdao, Compared the data of the two regions and analyzed whether the data can beused to support the research purposes.
