Adhere to the mass line and serve the people with wholeheartedness is the core ofmaxim Historical materialism. They are the edge of communist party as well. It is thecontinuation of maxim Historical materialism in combination with china’s realexperience on socialism drive and reform. With a distinct feature of current time, Themass viewpoint is the maxims’ Historical materialism of Chinese-branch. Deng’stheory is composed of three points: first, putting human first all the time, believe inthe mass and keeping in touch with them, which is the core of Deng’s theory. Two,respecting the mass’ experience, staving to be part of the mass and follow theiradvices and suggestions. The three “favors” is the standard to tell right from wrongand the standard of Deng’s theory. Third, providing guidance to the mass, sharingexperience with the mass and showing concern to people’s life quality, which is theultimate goal of Deng’s mass viewpoint. Deng’s mass viewpoint has stimulatedinnovation and development based on maxims’ mass viewpoint. It is the foundationfor communist party to formulate correct policies and choose a right path. Only withDeng’s mass viewpoint can we ensure a successful reform and socialism drive andbetter leadership. Currently, there are some contradictions and problems in relationsbetween leaders and the mass, communist party and the mass. To sum up, someleaders and communist party members put “serving people with wholeheartedness”aside and divert from the mass line path. As we has built a well-off society in china, itis significant for us to continue to study the Deng’s mass viewpoint, bear in mind thepeople first conviction, it is also important to keep the close relation betweencommunist party and the mass and stay proof from corruption.
