Showbiz, which satisfies the spiritual need of the populace, is gaining more popularity with the development of our economy. In a very short time, with the overwhelming endorsement of fans, many rise to household stardom. With the stardom effect, the descendants of stars, or the princelings of stardom naturally become the focus of the mass.Relentless crimes committed by princelings of stardom, especially the exposure of the Li Tianyi Case, pushed the cases of this special community to the forefront of public attention. Should these cases be given a second thought? Should research on it be done from a criminological perspective? Although there is no debate on this issue in the academic community, but opinions can be deduced from the controversy induced by the similar cases committed by rich princelings. Some scholars, such as Prof. Yao Jianlong, who, based on the research by Prof. Sutherland into White-collar crime, maintains that it is rash to ignore such cases just because of the extreme minor percentage accounted for by rich princelings, argue that these are worth thorough research. Others hold that such cases fall into the category of sociology but not jurisprudence.Judging from this, we can conclude that it is still controversial to research into stardom princeling cases. However, this thesis thinks that because these cases are located at the very forefront of public attention, their criminal deeds can result in more severe social impact than those of the rich princelings, and such cases are worthwhile to research, they cannot be ignored.First of all, these cases are unique. The criminal subjects are minors about to be adults. Their deeds are marked with modern characteristics and focus on specific criminal domains. Therefore, these cases should not fall into the general category of minor crime or adult crime, nor should they be capped juvenile offenders or adult offenders.Second, the causes of the offenses call for urgent attention. Although these cases involve both social and characteristic factors, social factors are more significant with the subjects in sight. Minor social factors such as family and school are more relevant to individual development, therefore it is critical to look into these minor factors.Finally, there is necessity to prevent these cases. Macro criminology includes research on preventions against crime besides that on criminal phenomena and causes of micro criminology. Therefore, the research into the crimes and the micro social factors of princelings of stardom leads to effective preventive measures. The author a scientific preventive includes the construction of a two-folded system, i.e. environmental prevention and rectification of such offenses. Only by way of the construction of said two preventives can such crimes be curbed.The significance of the research is to call for attention from scholars to such princeling cases, as well as the reflection of princeling parents through an analysis of the phenomena and causes. The author hopes that the scholastic community pay attention and obtain breakthroughs, contributing to an endeavor to build a harmonious society.
