| As a scientific proposition,"to build a harmonious society" was proposed and approved at the4th Plenary Session of the16th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, and has become one of the five missions of reinforcing the ruling capacities of our party. A harmonious society is a great systematic project, which calls for the overall development of politics, economy and culture, rather than that of mere economy. Political culture, as an ideology in political system, influences or even determines a nation’s or every political participant’s political manners and value orientations, playing a vital role in the harmony of the ethnic minority regions along the borderline or, even of the whole society. From the political perspective, it is definitely of great theoretical and political significance to explore the way of expediting the modernization process, integrating the multiracial cultures, leading traditional political cultures to adapt to the mainstream political culture, maintaining the political steadiness and construing a harmonious society in the ethnic minority regions along the borderline.The thesis starts with the significance of construing a harmonious society in the ethnic minority regions along the borderline, and then reveals the basic situations and characteristics of the political cultures of the regions with a systematic analysis of disharmonious factors in the region. An analytical reflection on the building of harmonious society in the ethnic minority regions along the borderline and the national and international factors establishes a preliminary conception that mechanism should be built to guarantee the harmonious political cultures in the region. Accordingly measures of building a harmonious society is proposed in the thesis in order for the minority areas along the borderline to advance the construction of harmonious political cultures, hence setting up a national political value of building a harmonious society. |
