The Research Of College Students’ Quality Modernization And Its Influencing Factors By Ideological And Political Education

College students are the elite group in future society and the backbone of socialdevelopment. The state of their quality modernization will directly affect the overall quality ofChinese population modernization and ourcountry’s socialist modernization construction. Interms of China’s educational practice, ideological and political education is the "lifeline" of allof the CPC’s work and also an important part of higher education. The ideological andpolitical education’s ultimate goal is to promote the free and comprehensive development ofhuman. Therefore, investigating college students’ modernization based on the ideological andpolitical education with the cut-in point of quality modernization, has multiple significancesfor theoretical studies, practice and disciplinary development.In this paper, we discuss college students’quality modernization from the followingaspects. Frist of all, this articlereviews the research outcomes of Chinese and foreign scholarson the topic of modernization and human modernization. What’s more, we make an overviewof researches on modernization of man from the perspective of ideological and politicaleducation. Secondly, starting with both Chinese and foreign scholars’ discourses at all times onthe quality of people explores the constitution of man’s modern qualities and is eventuallysettled in Marxism, Mao Zedong Thought and the socialist theory with Chinese characteristics,from which we findand reviews the theoretical foundation of college students’ qualitymodernization. Thirdly, from the three dimensions of theory, education, and practice we maketheoretical construction of the Indicator System of College Students’ Quality Modernization,and using empirical research and statistical methods establishes an Indicator System ofCollege Students’ Quality Modernization, which comprises of five primaryindicators:Competitive Spirit, Openness and Innovation, Ideology and Morality, SocialResponsibility(or Concern the World), and Equality. And on this basis this paper establishes aregression equation of the level of college students’ quality modernization, thereby providing abasis for the quantitative assessment of the level of college students’ quality modernization.Fourthly, it also makes in-depth analysis of the factors that affect the level of college students’ quality modernization, from which extracts three main influencing factors of Ideological andPolitical Education, Personal Details and Personal Growth Environment. Finally, based on theabove research, weapply structural equation model on analyzing the influencing factors ofcollege students’ quality modernization, whereby analyzing the mechanism how each factoraffects their quality modernization. On the basis of theabove analysis, this research makesrecommendations on how to enhance the pertinence of ideological and political education,how to optimize the means of it, how to innovate the carriers of it, and so on. Thereby we canprovide a theoretical and practical basis for further strengthening the ideological and politicaleducation and enhancing the level of college students’ quality modernization.
