Formation Change And Classification Research Of Group Callisthenics

This paper specially studies the formation-changing method for theperformance of group callisthenics at present by using the methods ofdocumentation analysis, expert interview, video analysis, and properly classifiesthe formation-changing method for the performance of group callisthenics, basedon the integrity of the existing problems. For the purpose of doing this, we hopethis paper could provide the reference for composing, training and theory researchof the large group callisthenics in the opening ceremony.At present, the formation-changing methods that scholars accept commonlyare mutations method, gradual change method, consolidation method, sectionmethod, zoning method and scatter method. But the problems of this classificationare that: level is not so clear that easily producing the logic confusion; methods arenot comprehensive enough to including all methods; classification is indistinct andthe standard is not clear. So this paper classifies again the formation-changingmethods for macro-strategies and specific method level from the practicalapplication perspective. For the macro-strategies level, base on the differentstrategies of the formation changes, they are classified into the whole formation change, segmentation change, sudden change and gradual change; for the specificmethod level, based on the characteristics of the process，the formation changes areclassified into consolidation method，scatter method, rotation method, bend methodand squeezing method. This paper firstly proposes that bend method and squeezingmethod are basic methods existing in the former process of group callisthenicsformation change, while the former research omitted this problem.We suggest that composers of the large group callisthenics should payattention to concluding good experience and method of former group callisthenicscomposing, strengthen information exchange, value theoretical research, enrichand complete the theory system of group callisthenics composing in the future.Refering to art form formatin change method, using computer simulationtechnology, composers should strengthen the experimental research of formationchange, summed up more formation change method, and make tests in the middleand small performance of group callisthenics for the opening ceremony.
