Classification is a process that classifications are classified according to a characteristic of a thing.The classification ability is the prerequisite for the formation and development of the concept of the number of children,and is an important part of the children's ability to learn mathematics.At the same time,the process of children's observation,analysis,comparison and judgment involved in the classification activities is also the embodiment of the preliminary development of mathematical logic thinking for children.Since 1860 s,the ability of classification,as the basic ability to perceive things and understand the world,has always been a key issue in the field of preschool education.In addition,most of the previous studies have studied only one dimension of children's classification ability development.Few studies have comprehensively analyzed the development of children's classification ability in many aspects.In this study,based on many references,individually and cooperation of two kinds of test of 108 children aged 3-6 years in a park by test method,using a variety of statistical methods to test results were analyzed to describe the 3-6 year old children classification ability development of the age and gender characteristics,classification,characteristics of different classification methods of children the classification of features.The characteristics of the first day activities of children were studied by observation.Through interview,the present situation of kindergarten and teachers' classification education for children is understood,and the educational suggestions for the training of 3-6 year old children's classification ability are put forward.Research shows:First,there is a significant age difference in the classification ability of 3-6 year old children,and 4 is the key period for the development of children's classification ability.Second,the effect of peer cooperation on the classification of 3-6 year old children is better than that of separate classification.Third,there are three levels of classification standards for geometric figure of children.Fourth,there are various classification standards for children's physical images,and the class concept is the most common classification standard.Fifth,the effect of free classification is better than that of speech guidance and target map classification.Sixth,the game activities are more conducive to the training of 3-6 year old children's classification ability.Seventh,the classification of 3-4 year old children is in the activities of living and game,and the 4-5 year old is the most concentrated period in the activities of classified education.
