The most significant features of the basketball are holistic, confrontational, skills andresourcefulness, which requires basketball players not only have a strong physique and flexiblemind, and also asked teammates work together, close coupled, play an integral strength. Allindividual actions must be based on the purpose and task of the team as a whole, the level ofcollege basketball depends on the college basketball team cohesion, an important condition towin the game is a good team cohesion, build a good basketball team cohesion can encouragedcollege the level of basketball all-round development.In this paper, used the literature data, questionnaires, expert interviews, and mathematicalstatistics, and combined with sports psychology, sports training, sports management and otherrelated basis theoretical, selected eight college men’s basketball team for investigation, selectedNortheastern University, Liaoning University, Northeast Normal University, Taiyuan Universityof Technology. By understanding the development of university basketball league match,investigated eight men’s basketball team cohesion status, study build the basic elements, buildpath, build process and deal with conflicts during the build process. The result show that: Thefirst, some university basketball team’s cohesion as a good level, but there are significantdifferences between different levels of teams, athletes, and different game identity athletes,defender’s overall score is lower than other position players. The second, there are someproblems in the way of coaching college basketball coach, when choosing the athleticism of theathletes, do not focus on the overall quality of the athletes. The third, the way of building collegebasketball team’s cohesion concluding: relationships, definition of role, values and task-oriented,according to these pathways the coach can basically formulate an appropriate managementapproaches and training methods to cultivate basketball players of team cohesion. The forth,building team cohesion can divided into five stages: establishment period, turbulent period,stable period, high-yield period and adjustment period. The coach can develop appropriatemanagement rules and training method in order to ride out the worst in each period according tothe characteristics of each period players. The fifth, conflict into constructive conflict anddestructive conflict, coaches are rarely able to use appropriate means and methods to deal withthese conflicts.Based on the actual situation of the construction of the basketball team cohesion, made the following recommendations for the construction of the college basketball team’s cohesion statusand team cohesion. The first, targeted to develop training programs based on each of the athletesactual level, and focus on training guards. The second, coaches change their coaching model,using democratic management methods and training methods management and training,organization collective activities outside of training time, such as Outward Bound. The third,developing appropriate management systems and regulations, appropriate incentives andpenalties on players, give some help in living and learning. The forth, establish the prestige ofthe leader, so that coaches, athletes always feel like part of a team, maintain a good teamcohesion whenever in the game or life.
