Independent college as an important part of higher education in our country, it is a kind of innovationof Higher Education under the new situation the mode and mechanism, it can better and faster to expandhigh-quality education resources. In recent years it as a member of the new institutions of higher learning,development is very rapid, it is the senior professional personnel training, intellectual, physicaldevelopment with ordinary colleges and universities, an important part of public physical education as theschool sports in Colleges and universities, it is to carry out quality also directly affects the healthy growthof students, affects the school reputation and the educational quality.In this paper, by means of8independent colleges in Jiangxi province were selected as the researchobject, using the method of literature, questionnaire survey method, mathematical statistics method andexpert interview method, from the public PE teaching situation, teachers, students learning situation andfacilities in four aspects of investigation and analysis, results showed: physical education teaching1, theindependent college in accordance with the provisions of the Ministry of education, the setting of publicphysical education undergraduate teaching for two years, well documented, sports class is seriouslyinsufficient, the teaching of school physical education and most of the time not up to144hours.2, sportscurriculum form tend diversification, but the single teaching method, teaching content boring, heavytechnology, light theory, the situation is more serious, evaluation methods can not reflect the students’subject status.3, physical education teachers echelon unreasonable, mainly to young teachers, teacherqualifications, the title is low, due to lack of scientific research ability of guidance teachers weak.4, theschool sports facilities both in quality and quantity, there are gaps and the requirements of the country,teachers, students generally think that should strengthen the construction of facilities of the school.In view of the present situation of Public Physical Education of Independent Colleges in JiangxiProvince, according to the state of independent college education requirements, at the same time, learnfrom the successful experience of outstanding independent colleges and universities sports teaching, putsforward the Countermeasures of independent college public physical education better and fasterdevelopment:1, early have elective physical education courses, to increase the teaching hours, in thesports teacher’s guidance a reasonable and orderly development of extracurricular sports activities.2,innovative teaching methods, enrich the contents of physical education and teaching forms, optimizationof PE evaluation structure, enthusiasm and initiative of students.3, enrich the teachers, encourage teachersto study, strengthen internal training to construct a reasonable echelon of teachers, to cause to keep people,keep people feeling, in mechanism of treatment to people.4, increase the intensity of investment in schoolsports funds, improve sports equipment and facilities of the school, optimize the allocation of sportsresources.
