Study On The Strategies Of Expanding Chinese Educational Scale For International Studdents Against A Background Of Higher Education Internationalization

Receiving and cultivating the students who come to china, has been a veryimportant content of Chinese government’ policy of international cooperation andexchanges. Education for international students during the period of "11th five-year plan"has been developed rapidly. The scale of international students rose from162695of2006to265090of2010. In these five years the average growth rate reached to13.1%. Theinternational students are from184countries and regions in2006, also increased to194in2010. To expand the scale of education for international students may bring a hugeeconomic benefits for our educational export, meanwhile create an immeasurable socialbenefits.On the basis of in-depth study of the development of the international student’seducation, firstly this article defined the connotation of the oversea students andinternational education; and through the theory of Higher Education in Service, has carriedon the analysis about the present situation of the international students’ education in China.Secondly, uses the SWOT analysis method, explores respectively the international studenteducation’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, etc. Finally, learning from thesuccessful experience of international students education of the developed countries,explore and analysis the strategies of expand the educational scale of oversea students inChina.This study shows that there is big space of expanding the scale of education forinternational students; the advantages and disadvantages coexist of expanding the scale ofeducation for international students; China’s steady economic growth and the rapidincrease of overall national strength, directly affecting the scale of international student’seducation. In order to make the continuous and healthy development of the overseastudent’s education, the relevant departments should learn from the existing experience ofassessment, establish a set of evaluation criteria for international student’s education assoon as possible. Then it will improve the quality of our higher education, enhance thecore competitiveness of our country in the international community. Perfect policies and regulations of coming to China to study, and create a good studying environment.Intensify the spread of Chinese higher education and expand its influence. Vigorouslydevelop the economy and improve the national overall strength.
