| Soccer, with its unique charm, is the most popular sport in the world. Evolved from one ancient game, soccer has become one of the most important competitive sports all over the world. Representing the world top level, FIFA World Cup is a sport which has the largest number of participants and world class of coaches and players. Each World Cup stands for the trend of this sports, therefore, large numbers of professional visitors do research on it from different aspects and the situation of a hundred schools of thought contending has been formed. All these research results play a crucial part in exploring new trends of soccer and rules of winning the game. Shooting is the prerequisite in winning a game, therefore, the rules and the effective way of shooting have become hot areas of researches in this sport.Based on former researches, this research takes shooting as "an event", and all the indexes of shooting are grouped into six elements of the "event":time, place, person, reason, process and result. Having these six elements, the research has a comprehensive study on the435goals of the17th,18th and19th FIFA World Cup, by using the method of documentary, logic, observation-statistics, mathematical statistics, comparative analysis, trying to figure out the characters and rules of shooting, so as to provide theoretical foundation for soccer training. This paper has the following conclusions:1. The second half of the match has more chances of goal-in than the first one. The injury time is very short, but shooting is easy to make in this time.2. The midfield and upfield is the main area of getting the ball considering the space element of shooting. However, with the competitiveness of this sport, more attention has been paid to the downfield. As to the shooting route, the middle route is more important, while the side route and the set piece are also indispensable. Area Two is the main area to make a shooting, and Area One is in the next place. More shooting has been made in Area Three and Area Four because all teams have paid much attention to the two former areas.3. The forwards are crucial in making a shooting, while the mid-fielders are also important. 4. The most effective way of get the ball is intercept, and set piece is in the next place. With the development of players’ ability, the rate of depending on the other side’s misplay is becoming less and less.5. Short game is the mostly used way of shooting, but the rate of success is affected by different teams’ strategy. For example, in the17th World Cup, half of the shooting is made by short game, while in the18th World Cup, it makes only one thirds of it. Fast-switching attack and set piece are also important, and the fast-switching attack is even more frequently used because of the strong defenses of each team. Among all the ways of shooting, pass and set piece have the highest success rate. All teams have realized it and put much attention on these two ways, so in this situation, break through and long shot are more used than before. If the first shot is blocked, then the second time shot is also used in the match. In the set piece attacks, free kicks and corner kicks have irreplaceable part. In the last pass before shot, directly pass by foot and pass by ball handling have the most goals, and have better effect than headers. In the ways of kicking balls before shooting, directly shot by foot makes the most goals, but with much attention has been paid to defense, it becomes harder and harder, so players have to shoot by break through or have other changes in order to find proper chances to shoot.6. The inside of the foot, the outside of the foot, the front of the foot and the head are the mostly used parts of the body in making a shooting. In the19th World Cup, most of the shooting is made by the inside of the foot. Accuracy is more and more important in winning a game and first-time shot is the most frequently used way because the limitation of time and space. |
