On The Individual Value And Its Realization Of College Students Ideological And Political Education

With the development of times, it appears new challenges for the ideologicaland political education in society, which are not only for society, but, moreimportantly, for the college education in our country.The value of college ideological and political education to the individualmeans this kind of education plays a pivotal role in intensifying thecomprehensive quality and meeting the desire for self-improvement for theundergraduates. The theoretical foundation of this research of the individual valuein college ideological and political education can be concluded into three aspects:the dialectical relationship between the individual and society, the concept of“human oriented”, and the theory of “all-round development of human being”.Besides, the individual value of ideological and political education mainlyexhibits in five perspectives. Firstly, on political level, promote the socializationof undergraduates’ politics by teaching political knowledge, guiding politicaldirection and improving their political evolvement skills. Then, on ideologicallevel, help the undergraduates cultivate correct world view, life view and valueview. Besides, on moral level, fasten the pace of developing noble moral qualityin means of improving the understanding, the feeling, the will and behavior ofmorality. Moreover, on law level, improve their law quality in the way ofincreasing the awareness of law and developing the thinking patterns of law.Lastly, on psychological level, assist them to make a correct self-assessment, toharmonize the social relationship, to stabilize the emotions as well as forminggood characters and will qualities.It is quite essential to realize the individual value in ideological and politicaleducation, which is a transformative process from “hidden value” to “evidentvalue”, including three phases－internalization, externalization, and feedback. Ina bid to realize the individual value, the following has to be involved. First, theleading role of universities has to be intensified, which need to pay more attentionto the perfection and creation of educational content and methods, and tostrengthen the humanism concern toward the undergraduates. Second,participation in social practice of the undergraduates should be encouraged. Lastbut not the least, the environment of family, college and society should beoptimized, which could ensure the realization of individual value.
