Research On The Realization Of Individual Value Of College Students’ Ideological And Political Education

College students are the hope of our country. They are the main force of socialdevelopment, and the important strength of national prosperity. The realization of theIdeological and political quality and the individual value for university students is closelyrelated to the development and prosperity of our country and nation. Besides, it is the basiccondition for constructing socialist harmonious society. Recently, some Colleges which are inthe process of Ideological and political education pay more attention to the social value ofIdeological and political education; by contrast, they overlook the individual value. Thisphenomenon led to deficient aspects of work in promoting the comprehensive and individualdevelopment of students. In the historical stage of building a socialist harmonious society，it isvery important to correctly understand the individual value of the ideological and politicaleducation. In the current social environment, the goal of many college students’ hard work isnot only reflects its social value, the more they pursuit is realizing the individual value.Therefore, the ideological and political education of university, which should adapt to theobjective requirements of social progress and development, deserve enough attention to thepart of individual value, and promote the effective implementation of the individual value ofcollege students, has important theoretical significance and practical significance.Currently, under the background of promoting the socialist core value system, collegestudents’ personal subjective consciousness is enhancing and their individual value is moreprominent. Therefore, college education should also advance with the times and stick toinnovation of educational method. The comrade Hu Jintao eneral secretary of the CPC CentralCommittee has put forward the "people-oriented" concept of scientific development, buildinga harmonious socialist society. The basic requirement for the realization of a harmonioussocialist society on the individual value of College Students’ Ideological and politicaleducation, we should pay more attention to humanistic care, starting from the reality,education method conforms to the human nature, to the development of people, help people,understand people, give students more care, to better promote the development of educationalpractice and innovation. The work of Ideological and political education of college students should respect the reality, pay attention to humanistic care, and use more humanized methods.In the process of education colleges and universities should give students more care，so as tobetter ensure the ideological and political education practical activity go smoothly. At thesame time， as the main place and important camp of Ideological and political education，colleges and universities should not only focus on students’ scientific and cultural knowledge，but also strengthen the cultivation of the ideological and moral quality. Only in this way canthey really take responsibility for training the main force in building a socialist harmonioussociety.Firstly，this paper describes and analyzes the Ideological and political education and itsconcept and connotation, and then reaches the connotation and significance of the individualvalue of College Students’ Ideological and political education. By analyzing the problems inthe process of realizing the college students’ individual value under current social conditions,this paper looks for the cause of the problems, and finally sums up the strategy of individualvalue of College students’ Ideological and political education. This paper has been three mainsections. As follows:In the first part, this paper mainly expounds some related concepts. On the basis of theprevious studies，firstly, it analyses the concept of ideological and political education and itsvalue，and then further summarizes the meaning and basic contents of the individual value ofCollege Students’ Ideological and political education and its realization. The basic contentsof college students’ individual value of Ideological and political education include:promoting the individual to the direction of social development, guiding the correct politicaldirection; continuously satisfying the spiritual needs; stimulating spiritual power; promotingthe all-round development of people; cultivating the spirit of innovation; giving thehumanistic care; and shaping individual personality.In the second part, this paper analyzes the problems and its causes in the realization ofthe individual value of Ideological and political education of college students. There areseveral aspects to elaborate the problems: students’ understanding of the realization ofindividual value with misunderstanding; the college education system relative disregards theachievement of individual value of College Students’ Ideological and political education; the humanistic education environmental atmosphere is not strong and so on. Based on these,considering the ideological and political education itself and its environment, studentsthemselves and other aspects, this paper analyses the causes of the problem.In the third part, this paper discusses the countermeasures on the problems in therealization process of the individual value of College Students’ Ideological and politicaleducation. Mainly from the following several aspects to achieve: promoting the improvementof Ideological and political education and improve, to promote the realization of individualvalue, including the clear goal of Ideological and political education, improve the ideologicaland political education system, optimize and upgrading the troop of ideological and politicaleducation; adhering to the human-oriented philosophy of education, to promote the students’individual development, including respect subjective internal need of college students, respectfor individual differences and combine the Ideological and political education work andstudents real life; optimizing the environment of Ideological and political education, to createconditions for the realization of individual value, including optimizing the environment offamily, social and college; strengthening the consciousness of the individual value of CollegeStudents’ Ideological and political education, to cultivate the students’ subjectivity,strengthening students’ world outlook, outlook on life, values education and their humanisticspirit education and mental health education.
