| A“low carbon stormâ€came from Copenhagen has swept the whole world.People have realized that the excessive carbon emission occurred in the process ofthe production and consumption is one of the key factors to form the climatic issues.<National medium and long-term education reform and development plan outline(2010and2020)> emphasize the connection to the low-carbon education with thestudents’ life, the modern society and the development of science and technology.However, low carbon development has become the main of the global societydevelopment and the field of low carbon will be the leading edge of thedevelopment of technology.The construction content in this course called <environmental monitor> isLow-carbon environmental protection. It also studies in the process of construction,implement, evaluation and etc. In addition, it focuses on extended activities whichbased on the theory study of the “school-based courses†and “extended courses†todrive the learning of the knowledge in varieties of forms while to cultivate thecapacity of students.The unique features of the research:1.Teaching method gets rid of the staleand brings forth the fresh2. Unique teaching contents3. Various forms of curriculumThe course includes learning situational analysis, learning demand analysis(questionnaires), preparation of syllabus, choosing of course contents, extendedactivities design, teaching activities design, and design evaluation. The main point isthe extended activities, including simulation experiments, research-based activities,society practice, scientific papers and etc, to give prominence to the characteristicsof this course.Though the research of the“Low-carbon environmental protectionâ€,conclusions (achievements) I’ve made are as follows:1. Questionnaires andconversaziones about the courses have won the favor and approval of students.2.Reasonable curriculum provision of “Low-carbon environmental protectionâ€, variousforms of extended activities, basically accomplishment of the teaching objectives to each activity, cultivation of each capacity of students.3. Each student who attendedthe course has finished the paper and some of them have won awards.4. Variousways of evaluation teach students how to self-evaluation and evaluate others.5.Extended activities requireteachers not only the ability to curricular development,but also other comprehensive abilities, is a big challenge to the self-promotion of theteacher. There are also some problems, of course,such as some of the activities arenot popular with the students, because of academic pressure, students learninginitiative is not enough, the lack of high quality works.All these illustrate the courseneeds to be improved continuously. |
