Research On Environmental Protection Awareness Education Of Contemporary University Students

Human beings'uncontrolled demands and over-exploitation, which just meet the needs of their own, worsen the increasingly serious issues of the nature's load, including the problems of environmental pollution, species decreasing, resources and energy exhausting and etc. These environmental issues are directly related to the world economic development and social progress, related to the current production, life and future of all mankind. Facing such situations, in addition to further scientific exploration and research, we must work hard to turn human beings'old concepts, renew and correct the relationship between the nature and the human, utilize all mankind's power to regulate the relationship.University students, the new force of social progress and development, are the future policy makers, managers and executives of the economic, political and social development. Their awareness and behavior of environmental protection will affect the entire social development. Therefore, it is urgent to begin the environmental awareness education for the university students, so that, the preventive measures, the ideas and practices of management and protection do not always put into action after the pollution and destruction. Currently, the university environmental protection awareness education makes great progress than before. University students have some basic knowledge and awareness of environmental protection and have an enthusiasm for the environmental protection and always give a very big concern. However, when problems arise or self-interest involved, their environmental protection awareness and behavior lag far behind.This paper takes Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory, "Three Represents" as guidance, thoroughly implements the scientific concept of development, utilizes the quality education theory, environmental ethics, teaching theory and other relevant theories and methods, analyzes the problems and situations of the university students'environmental protection awareness education, improves the means and methods of the university students environmental protection awareness education and puts forward the author's own views and suggestions for the means of environmental protection awareness education, combing with organizational leadership, inside and outside the classroom, campus culture, publicity and education.
