In physics teaching, results are always regarded to be more important than theprocess of learning. People care little about how these physics laws are produced. Inthe outline of the revolution of basic education, the implementation of thethree-dimensional curriculum goals is an important sign. Based on the goal of“process and approach”,which is one of the goals in Physics Curriculum Standards(experimental edition) in Ordinary High School, this thesis is intended to explain theconnotation of this goal from the angle of etymology, education, psychology and thecharacteristics of physics teaching in senior school. Through investigations andanalysis, we will know the implementation situation of “process and approach” inphysics teaching, and then put forward the operability of goal of “process andapproach”. Meanwhile, there is also a discussion on the realization of this targetbased on the high school physics classroom teaching practiceThis paper consists of five chapters.Chapter I: The necessity and feasibility of the research on “process andmethod” are discussed. And according to the references, current situations of physicsteaching are reviewed. Furthermore, the main approach used in this paper areproposed under the conception of the new curriculum reformation.Chapter II: Summarize the goal of “process and approach”in physicscurriculum. Firstly, combined with the knowledge of pedagogy, educationalpsychology, the concept of "process and method" is defined. And then the research isimplemented, which is based on Deweys educational process theory, Piaget’s geneticepistemology, Bruner’s teaching theory and constructivist theory.Chapter III: The implementation of “process and approach” in the teachingof physics has been investigated and analyzed. This research is carried out in six highschools of JiangYin. Due to these statistic data, problems during the enforcement of“process and approach” could be discovered.Chapter IV: The experiment is implemented in the curriculum of mechanics.How to reach the goals of “process and method” is analyzed in different type of lessons, such as concept teaching, law teaching, experimental teaching, exercisesteaching. And the whole article cares more about the research of " process ".The last part is the conclusion. This section has a summary of theimplementation situation of the “process and approach” and proposes some pointsthat should be noticed during the further research.
