In the development of economic society and national revitalization, education takes on the guiding, basic characteristics and overall status. The development level of national education reflects the development of a country, also concerns the future development of a nation. In China, the development of education always receives much attention. As the cornerstone of the development in China, the development of education is always the enduring topic. Striving to develop the education is the necessary choice for taking advantage of our human resource, building an innovation-oriented country, and accelerating the socialist modernization. After years of experience, the development of Chinese private colleges has become an important part of our education system, and gradually become the beneficial addition of public school model. Compared with public schools, Chinese private colleges have more space to enhance and improve on improving teachers’remuneration, increasing teaching enthusiasm, and then promoting the development of the higher education in China. That is the subject that we are going to research in this thesis.In the wave of fast economic development, Chinese private colleges also ushered in the second developing opportunity. The very important point is how to stand out from the fierce market competition, work out the own teaching characteristic of private colleges, thus to attract excellent talents from home and abroad to join, in order to form a good circulation for booming development of private colleges.Like other professions, teachers from private colleges as a profession also need incentive mechanism to arouse their working enthusiasm. At the same time, teachers from private collages are knowledge workers. Incentive system for them should be different from other types of employees. For this substance, using the experience of the foreign university teachers’ salary distribution system, referencing the mature application of non-governmental university teachers’salary system abroad, and basing on salary management theory, this thesis introduced the theory of management, economics, psychology, analyzed the characteristics of private colleges in China, compared the transition of teacher’s salary system, selected the suitable salary distribution theory to match private colleges feature, recommended the reform orientation for private college teachers’salary system. I hope this thesis could be helpful for exploring effective ways on providing reference for domestic private colleges teaching reform so as to attract and retain high-level talents for the purpose of improving the overall competitiveness.
